We are excited to invite Wasatch Elementary community members to help us create the vision for the future of our school!
Dear Wasatch Elementary Community,
We are pleased to invite school staff, parents and community members to help us shape the project to update and expand Wasatch Elementary school. It is highly important to school leadership and the architectural and construction teams that our staff and community remain engaged in the process of creating a finished product that fits the vision and culture of our school.
On March 20 and 21 the project team will be consulting with various stakeholder groups at the school for the purpose of gathering feedback. Details are provided below:
Throughout the school day, the project team will hold two student workshops to learn what is most important to our students and gather feedback to create spaces that will be inviting for students and highly conducive to modern education.
Wasatch Staff Workshop:
Immediately after school, all staff members are asked to join a workshop with the project team to explore best practices in modern school design and determine the most compelling concepts and patterns that should be considered for Wasatch Elementary.
Town Hall Workshop: 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
All Wasatch community members are invited to join the project team to collaboratively discuss and share individual perspectives on the following three focus areas:
1. What are the skills, habits of mind, and knowledge students at Wasatch should possess after completing elementary school?
2. What are the types of activities and experiences we hope for students to experience at Wasatch Elementary?
3. What are the unique qualities of this community that should be reflected within Wasatch Elementary?
Community Roundtable: 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Community members unable to attend the Town Hall Workshop on March 20 are invited to participate in a condensed session focused on the same three areas. Stakeholders who attended the Town Hall Workshop are also invited to return for further discussion.
We look forward to hearing your voices as we work together to create a safer and improved Wasatch Elementary School.
