We’re so grateful to our friends at Hogan & Associates Construction for partnering with us to create the Hogan Construction Teacher Resiliency Recognition Award. Nominated by their principals, this award honors teachers who, despite facing personal hardships, continue to show up and make a difference for their students. Dave Anderson from Hogan joined foundation staff members Brynn Murdock and Katie Wahlquist to present five teachers with this award, which includes a $500 gift to help alleviate some of the financial burdens the recipients may be experiencing. We’re honored to support these resilient educators and express our appreciation to Hogan for their continued generosity.

We were delighted to sponsor the district's Evening of Appreciation this week, dedicated to honoring the remarkable educators in Ogden! Held at the Union Station, guests enjoyed a lovely evening listening to a performance from the Ben Lomond High Orchestra, eating a delicious catered meal, and celebrating this year's award winners and retirees. It is truly our privilege to support the incredible work being done across the Ogden School District!

Congratulations to George and Mary Hall, who were honored with the Sue Westenskow Award at the Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce Gala in March. The award was presented by Ogden School Foundation President Eric Hall and Weber School Foundation Executive Director Emily Oyler. Named in memory of Sue Westenskow—a Weber County civic leader and educator who passed away in 1998—the award recognizes an individual or organization that has made a lasting contribution to education in Weber County’s public or private schools. Recipients are selected jointly by both local school districts and are honored for enriching students’ experiences beyond the traditional classroom and promoting lifelong learning across district lines.
For nearly 30 years, George and Mary Hall have dedicated themselves to enhancing educational opportunities for students, impacting more than 45,000 students annually. We are so grateful for the lasting and positive influence they have had on our community.

Earlier this week, we gathered at Napoli’s on Riverdale Road to celebrate an incredible year with our Ogden School Foundation Board Members, spouses, family members, foundation staff, and district leaders. This dedicated group works year-round to support Ogden School District students and ensures that our mission is carried out with intention and care. We're so grateful for their time, energy, and commitment—and for EVERYONE who plays a role in supporting education in Ogden (including the board members who couldn’t join us that evening!). Thank you for making the 2024–25 school year such a success!
